Hout Bay Manor Hotel

Hout Bay Manor is situated in the picturesque fishing village of Hout Bay and is one of Cape Town’s historical landmarks. This boutique hotel, first built in 1871 by Jacob Trautmann and formerly known as the Royal Hotel, has been gracefully restored to recapture the tranquility of a bygone era.

Each of the 19 distinctive rooms has been individually designed and boasts with truly unique décor – an eclectic mix of the hotel’s Cape Dutch bones, bright colours, rich textures and elements of its natural surroundings like fynbos textiles and art. ‘The Sangoma’ is the hotel’s most luxurious suite with two adjacent rooms, free standing baths and large balconies overlooking the pool and garden.

The Inzolo Wellness Suite at Hout Bay Manor offers guests the finest African wellness experience in a tranquil ambience. Indulge in one of their exclusive treatments from their distinctive menu of massages, facials and other unique pampering treatments – all using organic therapies.

An undisputed highlight of a stay at Hout Bay Manor is the chance to dine at Pure restaurant. The restaurant’s cream floors are reflected in the dome mirrored ceiling and the hand-blown glass chandelier, lamps fashioned out of driftwood and fairy lights all create the impression of dining on a very glamorous beach.

Guestbook Reviews

This was our third stay at Hout Bay Manor where we are made to feel like remembered and treasured guests. The decor is exquisite (a mixture of colonial styling meets vibrant joyful African art and colours), as is the warmth, professionalism and friendliness of the staff.
