The Robertson Small Hotel

The Robertson Small Hotel is situated in the quaint town of Robertson, along Route 62 in the Western Cape – the world’s longest wine route. The hotel comprises three distinct sections, each celebrating a unique aspect of the hotel. The Victorian Manor House is a national monument built in 1909 and houses three well-appointed rooms with exquisite Victorian details, each leading out onto the wraparound verandah. The Stable Suites, offering three contemporary rooms, reflects laid-back elegance with its use of natural colours and debonair design. The ultra-modern Poolside Suite with its contemporary architecture and sophisticated use of French white celebrates modern design.

All ten luxury suites feature exquisite cotton on either and extra-length queen of king-size bed. Guests at The Robertson Small Hotel can enjoy the manicured gardens and sparkling pools on the property. Leading off the tranquil courtyard is the hotel’s signature restaurant, Reuben’s at the Robertson, which offers gourmet dining under the influence of acclaimed chef Reuben Riffel. A state-of-the-art wine cellar hosts a wide selection of the country’s finest wines.

The Robertson Small Hotel is an ideal setting from which to explore the historical little town of Robertson and the surrounding winelands. Guests can request specially packed picnic baskets and head out for the day or pamper themselves with a deluxe spa treatment at the Wellness Room at The Robertson Small Hotel.

A haven of discreet luxury - Dec 2009

A new addition to the Breede River Valley, The Robertson Small Hotel is the epitome of modern boutique charm in an exquisite country setting. With unsurpassed attention to detail, the 10 suites have unique and tasteful personalities: the Manor House suites showcase intricate Victorian touches like embossed ceilings and elegant, spacious rooms; the Stables suites offer a more contemporary feel, with touches of earthy brown punctuating a vision of white; and the four Poolside suites are an exercise in restrained, modern design and open onto a shimmering swimming pool – perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot summer’s day.
